After a brief hiatus, while attending to families, jobs, and other matters, the West Seattle Junction Neighborhood Organization is back in business, commencing in July of 2013.  Monthly meetings are held at the West Seattle Senior Center from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the third Wednesdays of each month, and all Junction residents are invited to attend.  

Neighborhood concerns being discussed at present are current development projects along Fauntleroy Way, including the Whole Foods Project located at the SW corner of Fauntleroy and Alaska, the CVS Pharmacy project proposed for the SE corner of Fauntleroy and Alaska, along with Transportation Issues, including busing, bicycling, and vehicle traffic, along with pedestrian routes and a new City Park proposed for the mid-block lots on 40th Ave SW, between the current Bank of America branch on 40th and Alaska, and the new condo development proposed for the South end of the block at 40th and Edmunds.  

Other matters of concern for the neighborhood at present are parking issues, increasing populations, stress upon current infrastructure, and the unfortunately increasing problems of litter, tagging and vandalism in the neighborhood.
